Winter Fun 2010

On Friday, we had out first snow day of the year. It was so nice to have enough time to make breakfast and spend the day doing things that you didn’t know you would have the time to fit in. The kids and I baked, ate out of the chocolate fountain and packed many boxes. Things are coming along nicely.

Today, we visited with the Scanlon family. We had lunch, played in the snow and again, enjoyed the chocolate fountain…THANK YOU AUNT LISA, UNCLE KEVIN and KYLE!!! Now we are resting well at home in front of a nice toasty fire.

As we sort, pack, unpack and repack…we are reflecting on the last few weeks we will be living in our home. The kids took a bath upstairs, which is a very special treat for them…a little more difficult for mom to wash their hair and make sure that ALL the water stays in the bath tub…but fun was had by all and captured on film. : ) Ellie and Parker are both showing great progress in school. We are so proud of them. We also spent the week together on our winter break…there will be plenty more pictures to come as we approach…the weekend. Stay tuned!!

Happy New Year

As many of you know, we have accepted an offer on our home. It is with mixed feelings that we remember the past six years and look forward to the future. Jeffrey and I purchased a house in January 2004 and made it our home. I have been taking many pictures lately that will hold the memories that we have made and remind us of the times that we have treasured at 9 East Hughes Street.

Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas!! From holiday concerts, family parties, hunting a tree, to making gingerbread houses, visits from the Tooth Fairy and Santa, and enjoying our time together opening presents and sharing stories from past holidays, we have had a great holiday season. A few of us fell ill this Christmas, but recovered quickly to enjoy our time off together.

Fall 2009

Where does the time go? This Fall we spent some time adjusting to Ellie being in a cast. She broke her ankle while playing outside. She was a real trooper and really did not miss a beat. She also had a Thanksgiving Dinner at school, with lots of arts and crafts. We shared many fun times together, enjoying each others company while learning, growing and healing together.

In Kindergarten they celebrated Halloween with a Scarecrow day. Ellie made a great little scarecrow. At Montessori, Parker enjoyed dressing up like a clown for their Big Top celebration. Ellie has also started Daisey Girl Scouts and has enjoyed learning about map reading.

Our first week of school was a success. Ellie started Kindergarten and Parker Preschool. Parker’s quote of the week was, “Mom, guess what my Montessori teachers let me do!! They let me wear my school shoes…outside!!!” Ellie said that “they beat her up” at school. She was super tired!!!
